December 14th, 1966 - August 27th, 2024

S.A.M. 252 member Chris Nicholson passed away on August 27th. He was a thoughtful performer and a great friend in magic.

Chris was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer 13 months before he passed and was fortunate to spend nearly all of that time feeling healthy and in good spirits, only becoming significantly more fatigued earlier this summer. Chris had just enough strength left to make it to Lake Webb in Maine where his family has gone nearly every summer of his life. With his passing, the world mourns the loss of a father, husband, son, playwright, magician, unicycle juggler (on, not of), fisherman, chef, and man of God. He treasured his role at Mt. Hope Church, Mountville Folk Festival, and anywhere he could find a way to use his talents to bring joy to people. Wherever you had the privilege of meeting Chris, he wanted everyone to know how deeply he valued the relationships he formed throughout his life.
